The big event of this month took place the day 2 with the concert of Alicia Keys in which the first part of the show has been performed by a guest star Melanie Fiona. The concert started at 20h15 to end around 23h and to not be late, I went to plaza espanya quite early to not miss the bus.

It took place at Sant Jordi palace so even if I missed the bus, I could walk but it would take me around 30 minutes walking up the Montjuïc mountain and going to the concert sweating, it was not really my idea.
So once making the line to get in the bus, the driver told everybody that this number 193 doesn’t go to the palace stop but the number 50. Something that I don’t understand and that the driver didn’t want to explain because on the bus 193 map, it is showing clearly that it will stop there !!! Anyway, making the line again for the bus 50, the bus was totally full and I was able to get inside just before it closed its door (and thinking that the other there was no one).

Enjoying my bus travel near to the driver, I got off the bus at the stop and before to get inside, take time to enjoy the area and taking some pictures. The entrance line was very fast and security guards didn’t allow camcorders but compact cameras, threw bottles of water but removed the cap of small bottles to let you in with…
After checking my seat with an employee, there was nothing more than waiting that the guest star started the concert. I would say quite on time around 20h15 and singing during 1h. Pop and R&B music are the style of Melanie Fiona, I found her very good in her performance and around 21h15, she left the stage.
Around 21h30, everybody was screaming because the whole place when dark except for the big screens above the stage, waiting eagerly that Alicia came out at the end on the scene but it was not the case. The first song was from Michael Jackson and she didn’t come out until that the tribute for him wasn’t finished. And me, waiting with my compact camera to catch her entrance like, probably many of the people, so here the video.
During more or less 1h30, she sang songs from her former albums but also some of her new album “the element of freedom” as love is blind, wait til you see me smile…
The most impressive was when she was alone with her piano singing songs as superwoman, pray for forgiveness…
At a moment, when she disappeared, one of the chorus girls starting to sing with her splendid voice, very amazing and when Alicia came back, people was all crazy including me.
Ending the concert around 23h, her last song was empire state of mind, it was when I tried to get the nearest than possible to the scene to record this last video of this amazing concert.
