Some people have already started to play the game but for PS3 users like me, we had to wait its release on november, 17th and in my situation, I waited 2 days more before to be able to buy the collector edition. It was worth to buy this version for 74.95€ (instead of the normal edition for 69.95€) since it includes some special contents for the game, specially the extension “the stone prisoner” (worth 15€ if buy separately). The game is great and seems very huge to explore with a lot of mini quests, for the moment, I just left Lothering (I’m just at the beginning of the game) and I spent more or less in real time 26h so far |
which corresponds 5h of gaming and only 5% of exploring the continent of Thedas !!!
So you can imagine how many hours it lets me to complete all missions before why not, to buy some extensions to continue the adventure. Playing as an elf mage, it is not very easy for me to survive to the fighting, hopefully with a good tactics and good NPC, so far I overcame all trials especially since I play in nightmare mode (the extreme difficulty).
I won’t hide you that I died many times so saving the game before any actions it is a must and also before any conversations I can have with my NPCs since a wrong question or a wrong answer can influence their behaviour. This same rule has to be applied for other main NPCs not part of my team.
This kind of interactions is what makes the game more fun and more unpredictable and it makes the life of this game longer. Depending of my choice I will have access to some campaign or not, to execute some actions or not. The other factor which makes this game interesting is that each character has a different background so imagine, instead to play a mage, I play a warrior or a rogue (the 2 others main characters available), I would start the game differently with different NPCs.
Although I suppose that after the initiation campaign, I will find the same main NPCs to complete my team. For that, I have to complete first the game with my actual character before to restart the game as a warrior or a rogue.
One of the things I don’t like about the game is the blood. Fighting will be spread blood not only on the floor but also on your body but hours after to kill the last ogre, I still have some blood on my face or dropping from my body !!!! Normally the normal reaction after a fight is to clean the face and I think that BioWare misses this part of reality.
If you like rol game, I suggest you to buy it (you can do it by clicking one of the Amazon pictures below), it is one of the best games since long time and I am sure it will hold you like it does for me right now. For now, I stop to write, my adventure is not finished yet and a lot of dangerous paths are still waiting for me and my comrades.
