Big Boss, also known as Naked Snake
Military men and mercenaries worshipped him like the greatest soldier who ever lived. Majority of them knew him but few met him in person and others doubted his existence. Like all legends have their roots in myth, Big Boss was a true living legend. In the 1960s, he helped to invent CQC techniques (Close Quarters Combat) and prevented the World War 3 during his solo sneaking mission at the Soviet Union soil in 1964. His real name is John (nickname Jack) and after killing his mentor and mother, the Boss, during his mission he got the title of Big Boss... He was a true patriot…
Solid Snake
Born in the 1970s from the cloning experimentation, he was considered like the 2nd Big Boss. In the early 1990s, Big Boss developed in Outer Heaven a new secret weapon called Metal Gear, a nuclear bipedal tank which can launch its missiles from everywhere, in order to control all the world’s wars. Threatened, the world’s military powers sent a single man Solid Snake, a rookie member of Foxhound, to infiltrate Outer Heaven to prevent the development.
Big Boss fled to Zanzibar land, after to be defeated in Outer Heaven, to finish his work and Solid Snake had no choice to go there, killed Big Boss and dismantled Metal Gear but without knowing that Big Boss was his father, his genetic blueprint and no one told him he was Big Boss’s clone.
It was in this period that Solid Snake met the first time Revolver Ocelot who was his adversary and he will be his last and old enemy friend during his last battle in 2014...
Liquid Snake, the 2nd snake
After the Zanzibar land mission, Solid Snake retired to Alaska where he planned to live peacefully and solitude but fate had other plans for him. At Shadow Moses island in 2005, close to Alaska, Liquid Snake with his new members of Foxhound hijacked the nuclear weapons disposal facility. Threatening to launch missiles in exchange of the pandora box, the corpse of the Big Boss, the military summoned Solid Snake to infiltrate and to sabotage Liquid Snake plans. There he discovered the new bipedal nuclear tank, Metal Gear Rex and had no choice but to destroy Rex in order to sabotage the plans of his brother and to save the world from a disaster.
Liquid Snake was the yin and Solid Snake the yang who one was acclaimed like an hero, the other was executing classified black ops in the shadow but at the end of the fight, only one had to live.
Solidus Snake, the 3rd snake
In 2007, terrorists led by Solid Snake hijacked an oil tanker on the Hudson river which hided a new Metal Gear. In response, the Navy sent marines to the tanker to take back what was theirs but during the battle, the tanker sank and took Solid Snake along with it…
2 years later, the big shell, a cleanup facility, was built. Terrorist led by Solid Snake seized it and took in hostage the US president during his visit. Immediately, the US military sent a rookie Foxhound agent Raiden on a solo sneaking mission. Just barely commenced, he met Solid Snake but not like the terrorist leader but like a man working for his own. Both would discover the true leader who was the 3rd of Big Boss sons, a perfect clone codenamed Solidus Snake.
Having any choices left, Solidus Snake activated a titanic Metal Gear disguised as the big shell, Arsenal Gear to head for New York. The main goal of Solidus Snake was to destroy the Patriots who sought to control him and located at this city. But Raiden killed him before that he could accomplish this mission. Knowing the truth, he decided to vanish into the streets joining Solid Snake in the hunt for the real enemy.
Solid Snake, the 1st snake
The Patriots, the true enemy of Solid Snake, has extending their influence across the globe by taking total control of war.
In 2014, war is not like before. Id-tagged soldiers carry id-tagged weapons and use id-tagged gear where nanomachines, inside their bodies, enhance and regulate their abilities. Now everything is managed and controlled and Solid Snake has to come back like Old Snake to fight his last battle and to face and kill his old enemy friend brother Liquid Ocelot.
Days after, while Old Snake is standing in front of the grave with inscription “a hero, forever loyal to the flames of the war, rests in Outer Heaven. 199X-1999”, an old and dying Big Boss, presumed to be buried under this tomb, meets him and starts to tell him the whole truth with his last breath.
Father and son, together at the end... They were true patriots...
