At the end, I bought my tablet PC, not to play with it, well a little but more for my work. You may not know it, even me, before to order it, I didn’t know this model but searching a little by internet for a good tablet PC with a cheap price, it appeared on the top of the list. So I bought it on a chinese website called eimaya, the good point is the price, it cost me 149 dollars and the bad point is that I had to wait about 1 month and 1 week to receive it in spite that they say that the international shipping delay is between 10 and 20 days. And I read some comments that some people ordered it with fast shipping, well it seems that fast means slow too. |
Ordered on december 6, 2011 and only received on january 12, 2012 !!! Anyway, the point is that I received it in one piece and working perfectly not in chinese but in english version. Flytouch 5 has a 10.2” LCD screen and it has android (version 2.3) installed, the operating system of Google.

Wifi, GPS, Bluetooth, front camera… it has everything that I need. Quite fast with its 1ghz CPU and the touchscreen works great although the screen looks “plastic” but since it is quite responsive, it doesn’t bother.
Some people have problem to connect to the android market, in my case, I was able to connect at the first time once I put my google account, the point is that the background data option has to be activated if not, you will get a connection error.
The video and the sound are not perfect but it is good for this kind of product and about the battery, I can use it between 3 and 4 hours before it will switch off automatically.

One of the things that I detected that it doesn’t work well, it is the keyboard, not typing but choosing the language. The option to switch between different languages works well but if you want the spanish keyboard for instance like me because I live in Spain, specific characters, like ñ, don’t show and there is no way to get it. I think that I will have to flash the room !!!
I also tried the full reset option, it didn’t last long but once done, the system was in chinese so it took me a little minutes to find out how to put it in english again. If you know to read chinese, perfect, if not, before to do it, spot first where it is the language configuration.
If you don’t want to spend a lot of money for a tablet PC like me, this model is one of the good options. Of course, you can find cheaper with a small screen but I think that a 10.2” screen is best for our eyes. Last thing, if you are going to buy it on the same website, I will suggest you to be patient, but very patient !!!
