This yearly contest organized by Fujitsu is a great way to discover the design of our future computers, in spite that all of them are in prototype mode, hope that one day, at least, one that I liked it, will be between my hands !!! The integral cord is a concept imagined by Raphael Lang, Yu-Lin Hou and Chan Wing Tak and they won the Runner-Up Prize in the Life Design category. It is an ICT (Information Communications Technology ) cord device which allows displaying a screen, a keyboard… well almost everything inside the space enclosed by the cord. like to design our own computer so the weight is very light although a 50 meters of cable can weight a lot so we have to choose between a big screen or not !!!

Following 2 concepts which won the Judge's Special Award:
- the total recall agent is a design by Shohei Nakamura, MoonHwan Lee and YoungWook Jung. If you like to travel like me, this gadget is for us because it allows to record every move we will do by flying beside us thanks to its shape of a flying balloon so we will have totally ours hands free. Moreover, it will own a travel guide function and an option to share our video by its cloud computing technology. I’m quite sure that some people will find another kind of use if one day it will be in the market.
- the ecopad is a creation by Yonggu Do, Jun-se Kim and Eun-ha Seo. Technically, this concept is viable and this computer allows to generate electricity each time we press its touchscreen so it can power itself and for us, more time to work without plugging it.

To end my topic, I will talk about the design by Hao-Chun Huang, although he didn’t win a prize, I like his concept called flexbook. By telling you 2 words, flexible and netbook, you may guess what it is about. This laptop is totally bendable meaning that we can fold the keyboard and the screen making it easier to wear, not only for the size but also for the weight. The screen can be rotated 180 degrees and by removing it, the laptop changes into a netbook which can be fold too. Moreover we will be able to personalize the case with different colors and textures.
