This mobile phone is hot, it rocks so much that I wish it is already on the market but this reality is not yet at hand :-( The Seabird is a smartphone concept born by the mind of Billy May for the Mozilla Labs Concept Series.

Yes the same company, which created the firefox browser and the thunderbird mail program, seems to get ready for the market of the future with this phone which reunites a lot of gadgets including some of the new generations.
Before to check the video, well if you can’t stand it, watch it first and read after or not :-) This smartphone will be totally tactile with:
- a camera of 8 megapixels
- 2 pico projectors of 45 lumens in each side
- an integrated bluetooth earphone
- WIFI-N
- an USB micro port
- a wireless recharge by induction
- a double operating system
Let’s get more in details for some options. The 2 picoprojectors will allow us to use it more comfortably at home or at work for example when putting it on its dock, one of them will display the screen on the wall with a resolution of 960x600 pixels and the other will display a keyboard on the table, very practical. When putting it on a simple flat surface, each side will project half of the keyboard.

The bluetooth earphone will be located on the back and since it will be totally integrated in the hull, we will be able to remove it easily and put it back but the most innovative aspect will be its remote control function because it will have a pointer and clickable area so if we won’t use it to talk, it will serve to browse for instance.
The recharge by induction will be done by putting it on a special charge pad something like the myGrid of Duracell so finish the normal wall charger. Actually we can buy it at Amazon or in electronic shops, it allows recharging many devices in same time.

And to end, the double OS, one operating system for the smartphone function (for example Android) and another one acting as a pocket computer (for example Microsoft Windows or Linux).
The question now is if someone will create it for real because Mozilla announced officially that they don’t produce mobile phone (of course, they can change their mind in the future) but one thing I’m quite sure it is that the next generation will tend on this similar design.
