At the end, Palm Pre is available in Spain since october, 14 with Movistar and guess what !!! I have mine :-) Fortunately for me, I didn’t have any issue with the hardware, neither with the software except for some minor bugs. For example, mails keep synchronizing even when I configured the option in manual. Unfortunately, the version of webOS 1.2.1, which corrects those bugs, is not yet available in Spain. Maybe I am screaming victory too soon, let’s see if in the next future days, I will enter in the group of the unlucky persons who have a Pre with cracks, wobbles… well I hope not and if it is the case, hope it will happen before that the guarantee will expire. |
I like the phone, above all its multitasking function, very practical and for people who has a Palm Pre like me and get bored to the default ringtones, below you can download 2 ringtones created by myself ("right click" and "save target as"):

Introduced during the CES 2009, soon we will see in the market the new Palm mobile phone called Pre. With a new operating system “webOS”, this tactile cell phone offers a lot of possibility and it introduces a new feature “palm synergy”. The palm synergy allows to synchronize more easily our datas – for example, contact information from Google, Outlook and Facebook.

By this way, doing a search, the system will provide us the results not only from the agenda but also from the sms, mms, social network, wikipedia… if we are connected to internet. We can open different applications in same time because Palm Pre offers the multitask (something missing in the iPhone) and since the screen is tactile, we will have no issue to move easily from an application to another one.
Equipped with sensors of light, proximity and accelerometers, the cell phone will adapt automatically the brightness according to the light environment or it will turn it off when put close to our ear.
About the hardware, I can say that Palm put the best processor of Texas Instrument and probably, the most powerful for a mobile phone until now. A keyboard is hidden behind its tactile screen of 3.1”. About the storage, it has 8GB but only 7.4GB is available for us and of course, GPS, wifi, bluetooth, A2DP stereo and a micro USB.
The other thing, which makes Palm Pre an unique mobile phone in the market, is its cordless charging dock “Palm Touchstone” - we will just have to put it above the dock to charge it !!! Below its full specifications.
