I played the demo version that it could be downloaded free from the playstation store but it was very short and it seems really promising. Now that it is on store, let’s try it in its full version and if you want too, you can buy it by clicking on one of the following links:

The new RE series of Capcom will launch soon in the market with the 5th chapter of this survival horror game where the story will take place in Africa. The game will be available in the shops on march 13, 2009 but from today february 2nd, a demo can be downloaded from Playstation Network and from january 26 from Xbox Live. We will be able to play 2 levels, just enough to make us familiar with the gameplay, in story mode where we will battle infected villagers and either online or offline in the cooperative mode where we will massacre parasitic hordes. The synopsis of this new chapter is that Chris Redfield, the hero from original RE and RE Code

Veronica, is arriving in a remote area of Africa to track the origins of the progenitor virus like BSAA agent – a new branch of security to fight against the bioterrorism. He will meet Sheva Alomar, his contact and new partner and they will discover soon that things went wrong and both will have to face many dangers to find out the whole true and to discover the secrets behind the origin of the progenitor virus.

During the game, we will be able to switch between Sheva and Chris and the system will control the inactive player in single-player mode. The gameplay seems very awesome because we will be able to interact everything around us. Moreover, according to the producer Jun Takeuchi, we will be able to set traps for enemies !!!

In fact, with this version, Capcom transforms the survival horror to survival action because the game is very focused on actions and few on puzzles.

For fans, a collector’s edition will be also available at the same day of the standard version release and it will cost $89.99. It includes a bonus disc with a “making of” and a digital art gallery, Chris Redfield figurine, bioterrorism security assessment alliance patch, Africa-shaped pendant bearing the game's mysterious "kijuju" mantra and a messenger bag bearing the logo of Tricell, Inc. - a company somehow tied to the strange behaviour of the game's inhabitants.
