Feng shui can be used to decorate your home, your workplace... well anywhere you want but usually places where you spend a lot of times. The use of the 5 elements are very important but also its interaction with colors, forms and its flux in order to create a perfect harmony room, a peaceful place, an energy house... and also the orientation of your kua. It exists many ways to create such kind of places but each ones are different since each individual has its own qi and the energy flows differently in each places. A room can transmit better energy to you and less for someone else or vice versa. Since the energy is in constant move, you have to

use different objects to create the best flow possible like mirrors, plants, scent... It is very important to use appropriate colors or combinations of colors during the decoration because for example if you want to create a fortune room, it is best to use red colors and not green which is considered to bring peace and freshness.

The main room should be fresh and give the impression to be alive !!! The wood element will be used like plants but don’t use dried plants symbolizing ill health or cactus which is bad for energy. You can use blue color because it represents the water element and like you know, water is the best element to make grow wood and if you like fish, you can put an aquarium since it represent wealth. In case if your main room has a chimney, it should stay close because open, it weakens the chi and makes flee fortune. Keep in mind that wood element is good to create a wealth and family area too.

Red color is very good to create reputation and celebrity room so any kinds of objects or colors related to the fire element are good. Since lights represent it, you can use a lot of candles or lamps for example.

Your working room should be influenced by the water element but not too much because a lot of water it is like flooding a bank and automatically brings negativity. Just use some small amounts of this element like a little fountain or a painting representing a waterfall. Try to not work in front of a wall because it will block your evolution or back to the door because it is like to be stabbed in the back, neither in front of the door just a place where you can see it, it is perfect to bring good energy. If you have no choice, put a mirror it will improve your situation. Sitting back to the window is not good neither because it means that you will have no support during your career and to solve it, a curtain and a big green plant in front of it. The important thing to consider for this kind of room is your orientation, try always to sit in the direction of your prosperity if not at least one of the 3 other positive positions.

Your bedroom should be decorated with soft color like light yellow because it is the room where you are going to rest and renew your energy. Earth element will be represented in this area but you can use it also to create relationship and knowledge room. If your room has beams and they are not hidden, I mean visible, try to put green plants because they will divert its bad energy. Visible beams block the energy flux and create financial problem.

The metal element is used to create a creativity area or a children room for example. You can use metallic objects to decorate such room and mix it with colors like gold, silver or white. Gold and silver means good fortune and white represents innocence and tranquility energy.

It is not very difficult to build a space with the philosophy of feng shui, of course there are things you have to avoid because it will bring you bad energy and others which will improve your energy like keep sharp corners to a minimum, place healthy plants around your home, avoid overhead lightings and use warm ones... Normally it is recommended that you feel your environment during the decoration in order to create the harmony and balance which correspond to you and your family.
