Fire is the most powerful element, symbol of energy and passion, it is associated with the southern direction and the dragon. It is considered masculine and the simple fact to say fire, it brings into our mind visions like lights, wood burning, red color... Amongst the 5 elements, it has the most yang energy and we should use it with precaution. Indeed, too much fire element in a place can stimulate the qi which can create an energy like anger, impatience. Rarely use, or I will say never, for the bedroom for example since this place is to rest. In the other side, a place where there is not |
enough, it can create an energy like dullness, demotivation. To resolve one of the 2 factors, we have to balance it with the other elements like water (for example a room with too much fire) or metal and earth (for example a room which lacks of fire). We can also use wood element but don’t put it too much because fire consumes wood.
The other interesting point is to use its color to help us for our mood. For example if one day we feel demoralized, putting a red cloth will help to overcome it by its energy contribution. The other curious thing we can notice it is that persons, born with fire element, are more ambition, enthusiasm, decisive, restless emotion, impulsive...
In the decoration, we can use its colors - for example red curtain, red paint... and/or its objects – for example candles, lamps, light bulbs... for places which need more qi flowing in. If fire keeps us warm and gives us energy, it can cause divorce, accident... or burning our house. So It has to be used with caution and if it is used correctly, it can bring money, fame... and better relationship.
The most important point to keep in mind is balance and harmony because the energy flow is always in constant move so we have to use judiciously this element in combination with the others to create the qi which corresponds to us.
