| It seems that sleeping very few hours conducts to a premature death according to a study done by the Warwick University in England and the Medicine Federico II Faculty in Italy. The research teams discovered that people, who slept less than 6 hours each night than the recommended time (between 6 and 8h30 hours per night), have 12% of probability to die of a premature way. The investigation focused on the relation between the level of the sleeping time and the mortality based on 16 studies in different countries (England, US, Europe and Asia) which included more than 1,3 millions of patients followed during 25 years and in which more than 100000 deaths have been registered. |
The results were undeniable and researchers published his study in the famous magazine Sleep showing that a strong relation exists between a short sleep (less than 6 hours), a long sleep (more than 9 hours) and the increase of a danger of a premature death in comparison with a normal sleep (between 6 and 8h30 hours).
Yes, you read well, even sleeping too much can be bad for us; according to them, it can generate a potential fatal disease but they don’t know yet the real consequences. Francesco Cappuccio, the program leader, said that meanwhile sleeping few hours represents a cause of bad health, sleeping too much could be a factor of the lack of good health.
In our society, majority of the people don’t sleep appropriately because of many factors like working too much, doing shift time schedule, anxiety… pushing us to sleep very few and on the other hand, the extension of our dream time causes a deterioration of our health state. And don’t think that sleeping few hours during week days and more hours during weekend can balance our well being.
By conclusion, what is lost is completely lost thus if we sleep less than 6 hours from monday to friday and more than 9 hours during weekend, we suffer double consequences. So if we don’t want to suffer a premature death and an unknown disease for an exceeding sleep, better to try to close our eyes and let our dream conquer our mind and relax our body between 6 and 8h30 hours per night.
