The most difficult places to discover

Nowadays, it is quite easy to visit a place, we just have to take a plane, drive a car or rent a boat to reach our destination but there are still some places where the main entrance is still forbidden for people like us but if you know a way around, will you dare to get in ???

The mount Kailash is a peak in the Gangdisê Mountains which are part of the Himalayas in Tibet (China). No one has been able to reach its top yet and much more difficult now because since 2001, The chinese government prohibits it.

According to a legend, it was said that the hindu god Shiva lives on the top in a perpetual meditation.

The church of Our Lady Mary of Zion is a church located in Axum (Africa) where it was said that the original ark of the covenant is inside, brought by Menelik I after visiting his father king Solomon. Since this time, only the appointed guardian monk can enter and he will dedicate all his life for the ark. Because of that, a lot of doubts are expressed by foreign scholars about the truth of this story.

The area 51 is located in Nevada (USA) and the most famous place because there are a lot of movies making reference to it. It is a military base doing some secret experiences (with ovni !!!) and soldiers have orders to use violence against any intruders.

The Lechuguilla cave is one of the longest caves of the world and the deepest in USA located in Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico. It is very famous for its unusual geology, rare formations and pristine condition making the cave a beautiful place to visit but its access is only for approved scientific researchers, survey and exploration teams and National Park Service management-related trips.

The Ilha de Queimada Grande is an island located in the state of São Paulo (Brazil) famous for its particular inhabitants, the Golden Lancehead Viper, one of the most venomous snakes in the world. The only human construction that you can find is a lighthouse and actually, the brazilian navy bans civilians from the island and sometimes, scientists can get a special permission to visit the Snake Island.

The Niihau island is located in Hawaii (USA) and owns the nickname of Forbidden Isle because in 1864, it was bought by Elizabeth Sinclair (member of the Robinson family) so tourists don’t have the right to discover it except by invitation. In fact, only native, island's owners, U.S. Navy personnel and government officials can visit it.

The Poveglia island is a cursed island located in the Venetian Lagoon (Italy) and it has been featured on some paranormal reality shows. According to legends, during roman period, it was used to isolate thousands of plague victims as a quarantine station and plague pit and during the middle age, as a big cemetery. In 1922, a building was constructed and used as a retirement home with a section for mental patients where a doctor tortured and butchered them until going mad then he jumped from the bell tower. According to legends, he survived the fall but was strangled by a mist that came up from the ground. Actually it is abandoned and in ruins.
