The first day will be at the airport, exactly at the Terminal 2 where on the outside wall, there is a big mosaic, a work of Miro, which can be seen when Vicky and Cristina arrived in Barcelona. Then take the airport bus and get down at the espanya station at the Sants Montjuic district, you will be at the espanya square, just behind the 2 high towers, walk until the stairs of the MNAC (Museum National Art of Catalonia, c/ mirador palau nacional 6-10). Vicky and Judy were talking meanwhile walking down the stairs.

When you will be in front of the museum, go to the right then when you will spot the escalator on your left, take it.

On the estadi street, take the bus number 50, direction parc de montjuic and get off at the fundació joan miró station, just in front of the Foundation Miro (avinguda miramar 1). Vicky, Cristina and Judy visited the museum and they were interested by a sculpture in the terrace.

Now you will have to go back to the espanya square by doing the opposite way, once there, take the metro L3, direction zona universitaria and get off at the sants estació station then take the L5 direction vall d´hebron and get off at the diagonal station at the Eixample district. By walking down the passeig de gracia street, you will spot at the number 92, on your left, the Mila house, also known as La Pedrera, where Vicky, Cristina and Judy enjoyed the view from the roof. 3 streets farther, you will cross the aragó street, turn left and in few minutes, you will reach the Foundation Tapies (c/ aragó 255). Vicky and Cristina were invited by the Nash for an inauguration of an exposition.

By keeping your steps, you will turn left at the first crossroad and walking straight, you will reach the catalunya square and minutes later, las ramblas at the Ciutat Vella district. Walk down and on the bonsucces street (normally the 2nd one on your right), turn right. When you will spot a big square, you will discover the MACBA (Museum Art Contemporary of Barcelona, plaza àngels 1). Cristina, Vicky and Doug were talking meanwhile sitting in the terrace of a bar near the square.

Let´s go back to the rambla street, walk down until the flower section and take some pictures of some stands like Cristina. When you will reach the liceu metro station, spot the dragon and take the small street behind it which should be the cardenal casañas street. It will end to a square called pi and take the pi street, just behind it and carry straight on, in few minutes, you will be at the avinguda del portal de l´àngel street. Now pay attention, very near where you will be, there is a small street called montsió on your right, take it and you will find the famous restaurant Els Quatre Gats (c/ montsió 3). It was there the first time that Vicky and Cristina met Juan Antonio.

Now turn back because you will walk until the nova square. On your left, the cathedral and in front of you, the old bridge, cross it and take the first street on your right, you will arrive at the sant felip neri square where Cristina and Juan Antonio proposed to Vicky and Doug to lunch together.

Taking the other exit, turn left at the first crossroad, then the first street on your right, in few minutes you will be at the sant jaume square. Take the big street on your left which will bring you to the via laietana. It was on this street that the “correfoc” (a traditional catalan festival where people are dressed like devils and meanwhile they dance, they throw fireworks) was celebrated.

After crossing it, take the street in front of you, which is the princesa street and walk until you will reach the Ciutadella park (passeig pujades 10). Cristina got a lesson of photography by Maria Elena. Get out of the park by the main entrance located at the passeig de pujades then turn right to walk along the wall of the park, again turn right when you will reach its end. Few meters farther, you will cross the icaria avenue, turn left and on the 2nd street, after the metro station, turn right. After crossing the big square, you will spot the olympic harbor at the Sant Marti district where Mark and Judy walked on the moll de xaloc.

Now to end the day, you will take the metro, the one you crossed before to arrive here, direction trinitat nova and get off at the passeig de gracia station then take the L3 direction zona universitaria and get down at the palau reial station at the Les Corts district. Walk down the avinguda diagonal until the pius XII square then take the street on your left which is the avinguda pedralbes, spot the number 7 and you will be at the Güell pavilions. Vicky was waiting Juan Antonio at the main entrance.

For the 2nd day, you will go to the Sagrada Familia (c/ mallorca 401) at the Eixample district. From the catalunya square, walk up the passeig de gracia street and take the metro L2 direction badalona pompeu fabra and get off at the sagrada familia station. Vicky and Cristina took pictures of the nativity façade and some inner photos.

Near to the basilica, take the avinguda de gaudi and at the end of the avenue, there is the Santa Creu I Sant Pau Hospital (c/ sant antoni maria claret 167) at the Horta Guinardó district. Vicky got out of the class with her classmate Ben. Close to it, take the metro L5 sant pau dos de maig at the cartagena street or at the dos de maig street, direction cornella centre and make a change at the diagonal station, direction trinitat nova L3 to get down at the vallcarca station. When you will be on the street, follow the indication to go to the Park Guell (c/ olot 7) at the Gracia district where Vicky and Juan Antonio met again after the trip to Asturias.

For the last place to visit, you will have to take back the metro in the opposite direction and get off at the catalunya station. To visit the Tibidado (plaza del tibidabo 3-4) at the Sarrià Sant Gervasi district like the protagonists, you can either from the catalunya square:

  • take the bus called “tibibus” which operates only when the park is open
  • or take the FGC train L7 to last stop (avinguda tibidabo), then the blue tramway (tramvia blau) or the bus 196 and after the funicular tibidabo

To go back to the downtown, don’t take the bus 196 because it will make a little detour before to bring you to the FGC train.
