The shapes and forms of the feng shui

The shapes are very important to canalize and to transmit energy, they allow us to harmonize better our surroundings and to create a better movement of the chi. They are used not only to help to design objects like building, furniture, cloth… but also to affect the flow of the chi which circulates through and around us. The forms are expressed according to the 5 elements of the feng shui which are water, wood, fire, earth and metal. I will describe its basic forms that we can use to influence our life in order to improve our harmony. Water from the north. It is represented by a soft triangle

or an asymmetrical shape. For example, mirror and objects imitating the water symbolize a relaxation and decreasing energy of the winter.

Wood from the east and southeast. It is represented by a rectangle or a column shape. For example, fabrics and other materials made from plants symbolize a growth and external energy of the spring.

Fire from the south. It is represented by a strong triangle like pyramid shape. For example, lighting and candles symbolize a rising energy of the summer.

Earth from the northeast and southwest. It is represented by a square or a flat shape. For example, brick and construction materials symbolize a gathering energy of the harvest.

Metal from the west and northwest. It is represented by a circle or an oval shape. For example, metal objects and minerals symbolize a contracting and internal energy of the autumn.

Of course, we can combine those shapes to create the needed energy for our place and like the other components of the feng shui like colors and elements, the fact to use them in excessive way can merge in a destructive energy.

We have to use them to create a perfect harmony for us and for our place (interior and exterior) on which we will feel peace and healthy. But also to share this good balance for the other persons who are going to come in.

Thus our chi will be prosperous to the natural rhythms of the universe and it will honor the natural cycles of the earth.
